- Fill in all of your contact information. If you are submitting work for someone else, fill in your contact info and fill in the name of the person your are submitting for in the “writer name” field.
- Fill in the title(s) of the work(s) you are submitting. If you are submitting multiple works, separate titles with commas.
- Use the browse button to find the file on your computer that you would like to submit. Select the file and click on the open button. Your file will then appear in the “file” field.
- If you wish you can fill in the comments field with any additional information you’d like to send, then click submit.
- You will then have the option to review your information and confirm that it is correct. Hit continue and you’re done.
General Submission Format:
Alden Street Review is an 8.5” x 11” electronic Portable Document Format (PDF) publication. The magazine accepts works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and image renderings of art.
Works must be submitted free from any grammatical, and mechanical errors. Must be submitted as a typed document for literary works, and in PDF for artistic submissions.
Genre Based Submission Format:
Fiction and Nonfiction (to 1,500 words) must capture and maintain reader’s interest throughout the entirety of the piece. Work is to be assumed separate from the writer for all submitted pieces. Work that portrays intolerance for race, religion, gender and sexual preferences will not be accepted.
Poetry (to 100 lines), while having no style limitations, must be purposeful and demonstrate a higher level of execution. Similar to that of fiction and nonfiction submissions, work that portrays intolerance for race, religion, gender and sexual preferences will not be accepted.
Artwork should be the original work of the submitting artist. Please keep in mind that our physical publication only prints work in black and white, with the exception of the cover. Work that portrays intolerance for race, religion, gender and sexual preferences will not be accepted.
Trigger Warnings— submitted works are subject to be assigned trigger warnings at the discretion of the Editorial Board following individual evaluation.
